She went on to complete her residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, followed by a prestigious Aesthetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery fellowship at the Partners in Plastic Surgery in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Dr. O’Connor knew she wanted to go into medicine at an early age. As a child she enjoyed watching doctors and nurses help patients. As a plastic surgeon, Dr. O’Connor sees patients of all ages– from infants to the elderly. More specifically, Dr. O’Connor has a special interest in breast reconstruction.
She chose to pursue breast surgery as her specialty because she enjoys working with breast cancer patients. Dr. O’Connor finds it rewarding to help restore what was taken from these patients after breast cancer treatments. She finds it rewarding to help these women regain their confidence and femininity through surgery.
During a visit with Dr. O’Connor, she wants her patients to feel comfortable and open to discussing any of their questions or concerns.
