Geocaris receives certified plastic surgery nurse certification

Pamela Geocaris, RN, CPSN, of Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic recently earned her Certified Plastic Surgical Nurse credential from the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board.
Geocaris is one of nine nurses in Wisconsin to have the certification. Janelle Klubertanz, RN, CPSN, CANS at Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic also has the certification.

To obtain the CPSN certification, registered nurses must pass a rigorous exam and have spent at least 1,000 practice hours in the plastic surgery field during two of the last three years. Candidates must also have a minimum of two years of nursing experience in collaboration with at least one board-certified plastic surgeon and receive an endorsement from a board-certified plastic surgeon.
