BayCare Clinic Foundation's Commitment to Education
The BayCare Clinic Foundation supports educational efforts within the healthcare sector and the community. One way we support education is through our Foundation Healthcare Scholarship Program; we also support approved initiatives of educational institutions, such as the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) and the University of Wisconsin Green Bay (UWGB) that meet our Foundation’s mission.
The BayCare Clinic Foundation Healthcare Scholarship Program is designed to assist area students pursuing advanced education in the healthcare sector. Annually, eight $2,000 scholarships are available for students pursuing studies in a healthcare related field. To date, over $200,000 in funds has been awarded to deserving students. Through this effort, it is the hope of the BayCare Clinic physicians that qualified healthcare employees will be available to provide needed services to the community.
BayCare Clinic Foundation Pledge to NWTC
The BayCare Clinic Foundation has pledged to contribute $50,000 to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College's Educational Foundation Inc. over the next five years.
These funds, starting in August 2013, will be paid in increments of $10,000 per year. These monies will be used to support the BayCare Clinic Faculty of the Year award, as well as for additional Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) nursing and allied health professional development projects.
BayCare Clinic Faculty of the Year
The BayCare Clinic Faculty of the Year is awarded to three NWTC faculty members annually. Each recipient receives up to $2,000 to attend a national conference specific to their health profession. The award is given to full-time, benefit-eligible NWTC faculty in recognition of:
- Innovation in instruction
- Commitment to student success
- Excellent teamwork and individual achievement
- Dedication to their health profession
The BayCare Clinic Foundation board reviews all applications and selects the BayCare Clinic Faculty of the Year honorees. Recipients must use the award money to attend a conference within one year of receiving the award.
