Women’s Heart Forum set for February 21
Thu, Jan 18, 2018
February is American Heart Month, a time to know your risks, especially the risks for women.
Early detection is crucial in treating heart disease, the No. 1 cause of death among women. The sooner women and their families know and understand the risks, the sooner they can take preventive steps to fend off heart disease.
Learn more at the Women’s Heart Forum presented by Aurora BayCare Cardiology on Wednesday, February 21.
Drs. William Witmer, Timothy Paterick and Scott T. Weslow will discuss these topics: Heart disease risk factors, reducing those risk factors, treating heart disease and why women aren’t different when it comes to heart disease.
The Women’s Heart Forum is free. Women, their friends and family members are invited to attend. It will take place at the Aurora BayCare Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center, 1160 Kepler Drive, Green Bay.
Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Performance Enhancement Room with a heart-healthy light meal and the presentations at 6 p.m.
