GREEN BAY – The Breast Services Team of Aurora BayCare General & Vascular Surgery is offering two new support groups for people who have received breast cancer services.
The Hope & Beyond Support Group meets twice a year, with an emphasis on education. The first meeting of this larger group is scheduled for Tuesday, May 16, at 6 p.m. Dr. Natalie Luehmann, a breast surgeon, and Molly Linzmeier, a nurse practitioner, will host the gathering. Guest speakers will discuss sexual health and pelvic floor therapy, and mindfulness to manage depression and anxiety. Anyone is welcome to join this group.
The Hope Support Group, a smaller, more intimate group solely for those being treated for breast cancer and for breast cancer survivors, meets monthly. Guests are encouraged to share all aspects of their breast cancer journey – the good, the bad and everything else – in a safe setting. Linzmeier will host and facilitate these discussions. The next meeting of this group is scheduled for Thursday, May 11, at 5:30 p.m.
Both support groups will meet at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, 2845 Greenbrier Road, Suite 230 Green Bay. Guests do not need to be Aurora BayCare Medical Center patients to participate.
Registration is required. To do so, or for more information, go to the class and event listings on the Aurora BayCare Medical Center website and use the keywords “breast cancer.”
