Emergency medicine physician was a founding member of the health organization
GREEN BAY – Dr. Steven Stroman is retiring from BayCare Clinic Emergency Physicians.
Stroman is one of the original members of BayCare Clinic, having joined in 1999. He has served Aurora BayCare and Aurora Health Care locations in Green Bay, Oshkosh and Two Rivers. He also has the distinction of becoming the first physician in northeastern Wisconsin to obtain board certification in emergency medical services by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Stroman has shared his expertise throughout northeastern Wisconsin, serving as assistant clinical professor of emergency medicine for the Medical College of Wisconsin; clinical adjunct assistant professor of emergency medicine for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health; medical director of EMS programs at the Public Safety Training Center at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton; and EMS medical director representative on the Executive Council of the Northeast Wisconsin Regional Trauma Advisory Council. He is a past member and vice chair of the State Trauma Advisory Council.
He also has served as EMS medical director for EAGLE III critical care helicopter, fixed wing and ground transport in Green Bay; assistant chief and medical director for De Pere Fire Rescue; Ashwaubenon Public Safety/Austin Straubel International Airport Fire; associate medical director for the Howard and Oshkosh fire departments; Emergency Services of Door County; Oshkosh Fire Department; Oconto Falls Area Ambulance Service; and the Emergency Response Unit/SWAT Team of the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
Stroman’s last day with BayCare Clinic Emergency Physicians is Tuesday, June 30.
