Run/walk sponsor delights BayCare Clinic employees with cool treats

Complete Nutrition delivered smoothies to BayCare Clinic’s Kepler Drive headquarters on Thursday.
The delivery was a goodwill gesture from Complete Nutrition, a sponsor of Saturday’s Get Your Rear in Gear-Green Bay 5K run/walk.
“Our employees enjoyed this immensely,” said Mike Schmidt, director of strategic growth and business development at BayCare Clinic. He’s also the race director for the GYRIG. “It was a generous act that went above and beyond what Complete Nutrition committed to as a sponsor. We’re extremely grateful for that.”
Complete Nutrition, 2476 S. Oneida St., specializes in weight management for men and women, sports nutrition and fitness, and general health.
The annual Get Your Rear in Gear-Green Bay run/walk is powered by the Colon Cancer Coalition, a Minneapolis-based non-profit organization. It seeks to raise national awareness about colon cancer screening and early detection. Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay is the presenting sponsor. Green Bay is one of nearly 50 cities hosting a Get Your Rear in Gear event this year.
The event features a 5K (3.1-mile) run and a 1.5-mile walk. A kids’ run is also planned, along with festivities and opportunities to celebrate survivors and support those family members and caregivers left behind following a loved one’s fight with colon cancer.
The race route will curve around the hospital campus at 2845 Greenbrier Road on Green Bay’s east side and through nearby neighborhoods.
Online registration is closed, but race day registration is welcome. Visit Get Your Rear in Gear-Green Bay for more information.
