Mackowski earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University. He completed his residency in general surgery and a fellowship in surgical critical care at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.
Pierce earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her residency in general surgery at TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a fellowship in advanced gastrointestinal and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Mackowski is a general and vascular surgeon who specializes in trauma and critical care. He joined the Aurora BayCare staff on July 25.
Pierce, who is originally from Wrightstown, is a general and bariatric surgeon. She will join the Aurora BayCare staff on August 1.
Both surgeons will practice at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, 2845 Greenbrier Road, Green Bay.
