Free orthopedics seminar in Manitowoc: Anterior hip replacement
Thu, Jun 8, 2017
Anterior hip replacement surgery, a less invasive procedure than traditional hip replacement surgery, will be discussed at a seminar led by Dr. Craig L. Olson of Orthopedics & Sports Medicine BayCare Clinic on Tuesday, July 11, in Manitowoc.
Because anterior hip replacement surgery is done without cutting muscles or tendons, patients experience less pain and enjoy a faster recovery. They have fewer restrictions after the procedure, which allows for more motion and function in the new hip.
Olson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who was fellowship trained at Western Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre in Australia. He sees patients in Manitowoc and Chilton.
The free seminar will take place at Holiday Inn Manitowoc, 4601 Calumet Ave. Registration is at 5:30 p.m. with the presentation at 6 p.m. A complimentary light meal will be served.
To register, call 920-288-5615.
