Eckardt joins BayCare Clinic Neurological Surgeons

GREEN BAY – Dr. Gerald W. Eckardt, a neurosurgeon, has joined BayCare Clinic Neurological Surgeons in Green Bay.


Eckardt earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Grand Forks. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee and completed his fellowship in endovascular and cerebrovascular neurosurgery at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia.


He performs the full range of neurosurgery procedures. His areas of expertise include treatment for aneurysms, carotid and vascular disease, cerebral arteriovenous malformation, spine and cranial trauma, and skull and spinal cord tumors. His fellowship training brings additional expertise to the neurointervention team at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, enhancing the elite 24/7 stroke care available there.


Eckardt’s primary location will be at Aurora BayCare Medical Center with outreach to locations in Iron Mountain and Escanaba, Michigan.
