BayCare Clinic to offer free skin screenings
Mon, Apr 2, 2018
Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic will hold a free skin screening event on Monday, May 7.
The event, from 2-6 p.m., will be held at Aurora BayCare Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Center at 1160 Kepler Drive in Green Bay.
The screenings will be performed by physician assistant Nick Grimm, a dermatology services provider. He’ll look for signs of skin health issues including skin cancers such as melanoma.
The American Cancer Society estimates that more than 91,000 new melanomas – the deadliest form of skin cancer – will be diagnosed in the United States this year. With early detection, melanoma has an estimated 97 percent five-year survival rate.
BayCare Clinic’s skin screenings do not take the place of an annual skin exam by a provider and are not intended for people who already have been diagnosed with skin cancer.
Registration is required for the screenings. Register online to reserve a spot. Space is limited.
