Stroman, an emergency medicine/emergency medical services physician at BayCare Clinic, was nominated by the City of De Pere Fire Rescue Department for the Professional Ambulance Association of Wisconsin’s Stars of Life award. Stroman serves as assistant chief and medical director for De Pere Fire.
“Our department felt Dr. Stroman’s knowledge base, dedication and passion were truly something worthy of formal recognition,” said Al Matzke, assistant fire chief, City of De Pere Fire Rescue Department. “We’re delighted our nomination earned Dr. Stroman this well-deserved acknowledgement.”
The annual honor and accompanying celebratory event recognizes honorees for service above and beyond the call of duty, years of service, extraordinary bravery, commitment, skill, and dedication to their lifesaving work and the communities in which they serve.
Honorees will be celebrated during an event on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Lambeau Field Atrium, and during a secondary event on Thursday, Sept. 24 at the Tundra Lodge Resort and Conference Center in Green Bay. Each honoree also is invited to the state capitol this fall with one honoree being selected to represent Wisconsin at the National Stars of Life ceremony in Washington, D.C. in April 2016.
The 2015 honorees hail from communities across the state including Amherst, Baraboo, Greenfield, Kenosha, Saukville, Valders and others.
