BayCare Clinic offering free skin screenings
Mon, Apr 1, 2019
Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic will hold a free skin screening event on Monday, May 6.
The event, from 4 to 7 p.m., will be held at Integrative Lifestyle Medicine BayCare Clinic, 106 N. Wisconsin St., in De Pere.
Nick Grimm PA-C, a dermatology services provider, will perform the screenings. He’ll look for signs of skin health issues including skin cancers such as melanoma.
Melanoma is the deadliest of skin cancers. The American Cancer Society estimates that more than 96,000 new melanomas will be diagnosed in the United States in 2019. With early detection, melanoma has an estimated 98 percent five-year survival rate.
BayCare Clinic’s skin screenings do not take the place of an annual skin exam and are not intended for people who have been diagnosed with skin cancer.
Registration is required for the screenings. Register online or call 844-341-7787 to reserve a spot. Space is limited.
