WHO: Dr. Kerry Ahrens, an emergency medicine physician with BayCare Clinic, was interviewed for a WBAY Channel 2 News story about staying safe during the Thanksgiving holiday.


WHAT: Holiday safety is important, especially around Thanksgiving, Ahrens says. Burns are common, most often caused by cooking and deep-frying turkeys. Ahrens shared tips to safely treat burns and to avoid other common holiday injuries.
