Lesley Bitters, director of operations for BayCare Clinic, was interviewed for an Insight magazine article about technology changes that occurred in health care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The column highlighted video visits, automation and the increased prevalence of remote employees.
“There are some things that can’t be remote,” Bitters says. “The person who takes your X-ray can’t do that from home, I get that. But the person who schedules your surgery, maybe they can, and the person who schedules your appointment.”
