WHO: Dr. Kerry Ahrens, an emergency medicine physician with BayCare Clinic, was interviewed on Monday for a WBAY Channel 2 News story about the growing use of nitrous oxide by first responders. Responders nationwide are increasingly using the gas to help ease patients’ pain.
WHAT: Locally, Kaukauna’s fire department has been using nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, to help manage patients’ pain since 2005.
