Dr. Jon Slezak of BayCare Clinic Ear, Nose & Throat was interviewed by WBAY Channel 2 News for a health news feature about the recent discovery of a set of previously unknown large salivary glands where the nasal cavity meets the throat. Dutch researchers discovered the new organs.
“As a physician, we expect there to be an introduction of new medical material, specifically with how to treat patients or how to diagnose something but not with anatomy,” Slezak tells WBAY. “We kind of expect anatomy to be very constant and not something that there is a whole lot of new information on.”
