WHO: Dr. Scott Weslow, a cardiologist with Aurora BayCare Medical Center, was interviewed for a WBAY Channel 2 News story about the Apple Watch and its ability to conduct an electrocardiogram.
WHAT: The newest Apple Watch has a heart-monitoring feature. It can detect the electrical activity in one’s heart, alerting you if you have abnormal heart rhythm. An abnormal heart rhythm, known as atrial fibrillation or AFib, can weaken heart muscle or cause a stroke.
