BayCare Clinic in the News: Addiction drives some to abuse pet meds

WHO: Dr. Michael Hartmann, an emergency medicine physician with BayCare Clinic, was interviewed for a WBAY Channel 2 news story about pet owners who feed their drug addiction by abusing their pets’ prescriptions.

 

WHAT: Veterinarians say some pet owners are using drugs prescribed for their animals. That can complicate matters when treating emergency patients, Hartmann says.
