Fri, Jan 29, 2016
Healthcare is booming, as is demand for healthcare workers.
To help fill those needs, the BayCare Clinic Foundation provides merit-based scholarships to northeastern Wisconsin students pursuing an advanced education in healthcare.
Registered nurses and nursing assistants are the jobs expected to grow the most over the next six years, according to a report on Wisconsin’s hottest healthcare jobs by Nathan Phelps of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
The state expects almost 8,000 new jobs for registered nurses and almost 3,000 new jobs for nursing assistants over a 10-year period from 2012 to 2022, according to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
The deadline for submitting scholarship applications and supporting documentation is Monday, April 4.
Since 2002, the BayCare Clinic Foundation has distributed 205 healthcare education scholarships valued at $222,000.
