GREEN BAY – The BayCare Clinic Foundation has financial support available to high school seniors who aren’t ranked at the top of the class, but still get good grades.
The Griffin Scholarship is available to solid students who have good grades, participate in extra-curricular activities and demonstrate a work history. It’s for students not receiving other scholarship offers and for those whose parents can’t fully fund their advanced education.
The Griffin Scholarship provides two $500 scholarships each year toward college or technical school tuition. Applicants are encouraged to apply online. The deadline is midnight on Sunday, April 1.
Students planning to study at online colleges are ineligible.
“We wanted to provide those who fall just short of traditional scholarship offers an opportunity to be rewarded for their hard work, too,” said Dr. Joseph Hodgson, president of the BayCare Clinic Foundation. “This is a way for them to capitalize on their commendable efforts and pursue an advanced education with a slightly less burdensome financial obligation.”
