BayCare Clinic Foundation awards scholarships

GREEN BAY – Eight local students in pursuit of a career in healthcare will receive financial support to reduce their schooling costs thanks to $16,000 in scholarships from the BayCare Clinic Foundation.
The scholarships, courtesy of the BayCare Clinic Foundation Healthcare Scholarship Program, provide merit-based financial support to area scholars looking to advance their healthcare education. Students applied for the scholarships in April. Each student will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship. This year’s recipients are:
- Donglin Zhang – Ashwaubenon High School
- Rachel Sipple – Denmark High School
- Sarah Du Vall – Notre Dame Academy
- Megan Steffel – West De Pere High School
- Taylor Falck – Wrightstown High School
- Lyndsey Gullstrand – Preble High School
- Laura Snyder – Green Bay West High School
- Allen Hoffenbecker – Northeast Wisconsin Technical College
“We’re providing this financial support as part of community-wide efforts to encourage home-grown, qualified healthcare employees to train, grow and reside in our area,” said Joseph Hodgson, MD, president of the BayCare Clinic Foundation. “We’re ensuring there is a growing generation of healthcare providers prepared to provide much-needed healthcare services to people in Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.”
Since 2002, the BayCare Clinic Foundation has distributed 205 healthcare education scholarships valued at $222,000.
