BayCare Clinic donates 60 bike helmets to local elementary school
Mon, May 1, 2017
BayCare Clinic is donating 60 youth bicycle helmets to Broken Spoke Bike Studio in Green Bay. The helmets will be used as part of a bicycle rodeo at Danz Elementary School in Green Bay on Tuesday, May 16.
The bike rodeo, sponsored by Broken Spoke, is aimed at teaching children the skills and awareness to safely ride a bicycle.
Encouraging helmet use among children starts the helmet-wearing habit early. All bike riders, regardless of age, should wear a bicycle helmet.
The helmets are being donated as part of the BayCare Clinic Bikes initiative. Through this initiative, BayCare hopes to increase bicycling and advocates for cycling safety in northeastern Wisconsin.
