Aurora BayCare Medical Center honored for stroke, heart failure care

Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay has again earned national recognition from the American Heart Association for excellence in treating stroke and heart failure.

The hospital, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this fall, received these honors highlighting its commitment to high-quality care by consistently following the latest scientific treatment guidelines:

  • Get With The Guidelines® Gold Plus – Target: Stroke Honor Roll – Elite
  • Get With The Guidelines Gold Plus – Target: Heart Failure Honor Roll

Here’s how Aurora BayCare Medical Center achieved those honors:

Target: Stroke Honor Roll – Elite status is earned for at least one year of providing thrombolytic therapy (clot-busting medication delivered intravenously) within 60 minutes to 75% or more of acute ischemic stroke patients.

Target: Heart Failure Honor Roll status is earned for at least three consecutive months of 50% or higher adherence to a range of achievement measures involving care for heart failure patients.

Gold Plus honors are earned for two or more consecutive calendar years of 85% or higher adherence on all applicable achievement measures and 75% or higher adherence on additional quality measures in stroke and heart failure care.

Aurora BayCare Medical Center has earned American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines honors for excellence in treating stroke, heart failure and atrial fibrillation and providing resuscitation in previous years.

BayCare Clinic is a joint partner in Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a 167-bed, full-service hospital.
