Aurora BayCare is five-time recipient of the Best Regional Hospital recognition
Aurora BayCare Medical Center is recognized as a Best Regional Hospital 2016-2017, according to U.S. News & World Report, publisher of Best Hospitals. Aurora BayCare Medical Center is the only hospital in Northeastern Wisconsin that was honored with this recognition. This is the fifth year that Aurora BayCare has been recognized as a Best Regional Hospital.
In addition to receiving the Best Regional Hospital recognition, Aurora BayCare has ranked high performing in orthopedics, heart failure, hip replacement and knee replacement.
“We are honored and proud of our caregivers for helping us achieve the Best Regional Hospitals recognition for five years,” said Dan Meyer, president of Aurora BayCare Medical Center. “This is a true testament to our caregivers’ hard work and dedication to patient care.”
Out of 4,667 qualified hospitals, U.S. News & World Report narrowed it down to the top few. These hospitals showed outstanding rankings in specific categories, which include a variety of specialty skills.
U.S. News evaluates 12 specialties, from cancer to urology, by a data-driven analysis that measures performance in three different dimensions: structure, process and outcomes. The fourth category relies on the reputation from physician surveys. Hospitals must have certain qualities in order to be nominated for this award.
The structure, process and outcome are categories that include information regarding hospital volume, patient safety, high-quality care and survival. These categories are based on physician surveys as well as taken from the Standard Analytical Files.
The rankings are available on the U.S. News & World Report website.
