Mike Schmidt, event director for Get Your Rear in Gear-Green Bay, visited WDUZ Radio, 107.5 The Fan, to promote a 5K run/walk that calls attention to colorectal cancer and the need for age-appropriate screenings and early detection.
The run/walk, Get Your Rear in Gear-Green Bay, takes place on Saturday, August 6, on the Aurora BayCare Medical Center campus.
“We took the last couple years off due to the pandemic but we’re back in person this year,” Schmidt says. He’s also director of strategic growth and business development with BayCare Clinic. “We’re just trying to promote awareness and education around colorectal cancer and the importance of getting those screenings done.”
