Urgent care service is still available for illness and injury issues
Accidents and illnesses will happen, even during this period of social distancing. That’s why the medical providers at Urgent Care Plus at Aurora BayCare Health Center on Green Bay’s west side are reminding people that they’re still treating patients with sprains, strains, aches and more.
“We’re seeing patients for all the things we used to see them for before COVID-19,” says Dr. Ryan Murphy, an emergency medicine and urgent care physician with BayCare Clinic.
COVID-19 is a new coronavirus that has not been previously identified. Symptoms of COVID-19 infection include but are not limited to: Cough, fever, tiredness and difficulty breathing (in severe cases).
Urgent Care Plus, at 2253 W. Mason St., offers advanced services such as:
- X-rays for broken bones
- Scans for abdominal pain
- Treatment for complicated cuts and wounds
- Intravenous fluids for dehydration
- Treatment for workplace injuries
Urgent Care Plus also treats patients with minor injuries and illnesses typically treated by a primary care physician. Some of those conditions include:
- Pink eye and minor eye problems
- Earache
- Toothache
- Rash and minor burns
- Bug bites and minor animal bites
- Bladder infection
- Sprains, strains and back pain
