Aurora BayCare, BayCare Clinic Foundation give funds to EMS students

Seven students enrolled in the emergency medical services program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College have been awarded financial scholarships from Aurora BayCare Medical Center and the BayCare Clinic Foundation.
The Christopher Sorrells & Aurora BayCare Medical Center Emergency Medical Services Tuition Reimbursement awards were issued in collaboration with Drs. Christopher Sorrells and Michael Medich, emergency medicine physicians with BayCare Clinic, and Dr. Joseph Hodgson, president of the BayCare Clinic Foundation.
Scholarship recipients of $500 were distributed to the following NWTC students:
- Andrea Casson
- Anne Virtues
- Laura Connelly
- Amanda Larson
- Daniela Kollmansberger
- Amber Homan
“The ongoing partnership with NWTC, Aurora BayCare Medical Center and the BayCare Clinic Foundation helps support the development of these future professionals and better ensures a steady supply of experts in this much-needed area of medical expertise,” Sorrells said.
The EMS department at NWTC is a certified training center for emergency medical technician and paramedic education and a regional training center for the American Heart Association.
