They are providing care at the new Bay Area Medical Center at 3003 University Drive. Both cardiologists are familiar to the Marinette community, having provided care at the Bay Area Heart and Vascular Center at the old Bay Area Medical Center.
Gamez earned his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He received advanced training at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, serving an internship and residency in internal medicine and completing a fellowship in cardiovascular disease. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine.
Vazquez-Bauza earned his medical degree at University of Puerto Rico Medical Center in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He completed an internship in internal medicine at University Hospital Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras. He also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine.
