How are gynecologic cancer treatment plans created?

Our gynecologic oncology team provides a multidisciplinary approach to cancer therapy. We create individualized gynecologic cancer treatment plans based on the latest cancer research and technology.

Your gynecologic cancer treatment will be reviewed by a team of experts. Each week, we have interdisciplinary meetings to review the best treatment options for the women in our care, customizing an individual plan that is best for you.

Our gynecologic cancer team includes gynecologic oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists as well as other specialized physicians skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancer.

Can I have children after having gynecologic cancer treatment?

Gynecologic cancer treatments may interfere with fertility. If you wish to have children in the future, we do everything possible to honor your wishes, balancing your cancer treatments with your fertility goals. We can offer curative cancer surgery that works to conserve fertility and address quality-of-life concerns.

How do research and clinical trials affect my gynecologic cancer treatment?

Our gynecologic oncology team conducts more gynecologic oncology research than any provider in the area. We participate in clinical trials sponsored by the National Cancer Institute’s Gynecologic Oncology Group and the nation’s leading pharmaceutical companies. Clinical trials offer the latest drugs and treatments that can provide hope and better quality of life for women with reproductive cancers.
