What Our Patients Say

Kelly W.  - LASIK Patient

I actually had a lot of fun during my surgery -- the staff was great! (And I didn't even take the valium!) Dr. Meyer was very kind, encouraging and explained everything thoroughly. Would recommend him 100%. Everyone was so kind and laid back, which made me feel so much better about choosing to have surgery. I am so happy with my results. It's awesome!

Emily D.  - LASIK Patient

I've worn glasses since I was 3 or 4. All I wanted was to be able to see my surroundings when I woke up and when I went to bed. I had been going to BayCare's Green Bay Eye Clinic since I was young, and I had heard good things about their LASIK procedures. Dr. Meyer was recommended to me because of his experience with extremely poor vision patients such as myself. Given the chance to go back and do it again, I would in a heartbeat.

Shannon S.  - LASIK Patient

I researched BayCare's Green Bay Eye Clinic and other providers and spoke with friends who've had vision correction surgery and decided to take the plunge. My eyes were not ready for surgery after my initial exam. I was disappointed but understood it was best to wait, and to address my challenges before scheduling my procedure. Dr. Meyer was very patient and explained the "whys" behind his recommendation. About two months later, my waiting period was over and I had my procedure. It's been life-altering for me, and I'm glad I took the leap of faith and followed through.

Noreen V.  - LASIK Patient

Before I came to BayCare's Green Bay Eye Clinic, I wore glasses for everything. Now I can see 20/15 without the glasses. No more hassle with my glasses in the rain, or that constant heavy weight on my face. I do need my glasses for close-up work, but I had a great experience, and I would recommend it to anyone considering the surgery. I was amazed at how fast after the surgery my vision improved.

Paul J.  - LASIK Patient

The number one reason that I chose LASIK was simply because I could not wear contact lenses anymore because of the dryness in my eyes. After trying every brand of the latest and greatest "wet" contact lenses with no success, I realized I needed to make a change, and that is when I turned to BayCare's Green Bay Eye Clinic. I can honestly tell you that after the initial healing period was over I haven't put rewetting drops in my eyes since. Thank you BayCare's Green Bay Eye Clinic! Now that my tested vision is 20/15 in both eyes, I can tell you that my only regret is the fact that I didn't get the surgery earlier.

Karen Z.  - ICL Patient

I was told years ago that I wasn't a candidate for LASIK because my vision was too bad and my corneas too thin, so I needed to wait for an alternative technology. Needless to say, I was crushed at that time. I had been looking forward to getting rid of my thick coke-bottle glasses. I was thrilled to get a call from BayCare's Green Bay Eye Clinic to say that the technology was now available; the Visian ICL. Though I was nervous about the procedure, it was much easier than I had anticipated. The healing was quick with very little discomfort. The neat thing is that I see better than I did with my contacts. I am 20/15 in both eyes! This is the best thing I have ever done for myself!

Nancy O.  - Nearvision CK Patient

I was frustrated with my change in near vision. Small print was becoming impossible to read. I heard the procedure was very easy and carried little risk. I called BayCare's Green Bay Eye Clinic because of its reputation. I wanted to go to the best facility around.

The procedure only took a few minutes and was painless. We left and went out to lunch. My close vision improvement was apparent the very next day and continued to improve for the next week or so. I can now read comfortably no matter what the print size. It was great! I recommend this procedure to anyone who struggles with near vision problems. I know you will think it's great too!

Barry W.  - ICL Patient

I am 45 years old and have had glasses since the age of 4. All my school books were special ordered. Because of my thick glasses, any time I would get hit in the face, I would end up with stitches. (I have well over 50 stitches on my face from glasses.) Contacts never worked for me. My glasses were never more than an arm's length away.

When Dr. Meyer told me the procedure had finally been OK'd in the US, I was pumped! Dr. Meyer is the best eye doctor I have ever met, and over the years, I have dealt with a ton of them. His whole staff was incredible, so professional, and very friendly.

The surgery was a huge success. It was the first time I saw my alarm clock in 41 years. People that can see well may not think this is a big deal, but I can tell you I was so fired up to see 5:30 AM. I can't wait to run my first marathon and race my first professional off-road race without glasses. I can now see distances which I could never see before. I would do this again in a flash. It was worth every penny I paid for it. Dr. Meyer and his staff are the only people I would go to for the surgery. They kept me well informed and always treated me well. Most of them were as excited as I was about the surgery.

Do you have a story to tell about a procedure we've done? Feel free to tell us about it.
