Virtual BRAs of the Bay
Monday, October 19
2605 Development Drive
Green Bay, WI
Join us throughout the week to help us raise awareness about breast reconstruction rights for breast cancer patients. Donations will be collected through GoFundMe and event sponsors will match donations throughout the week.
The week will culminate in a Facebook Live event on Thursday, October 22 at 6:30 p.m. on the Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic Facebook page where we will discuss the initiative, talk with local nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping those diagnosed with breast cancer and reveal the winners of the 6th annual BRAs of the Bay bra decorating contest.
Federal law mandates coverage of breast reconstruction for breast cancer patients, even if the reconstruction is delayed until after cancer treatment is completed. Undergoing breast reconstruction can have profound physical and emotional benefits for women. It can help enhance their confidence and self-image after a mastectomy.
Each year, our goal with this event is to help close the loop on breast cancer and raise awareness for the breast reconstruction rights of breast cancer survivors. Proceeds from the BRAs of the Bay event benefit Ribbon of Hope Foundation and the national Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day USA initiative with support from the BayCare Clinic Foundation, Plastic Surgery Foundation, and Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic.
