Inspire therapy: A new alternative treatment for obstructive sleep apnea

Thursday, February 27

5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

Aurora BayCare Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center – Performance Enhancement Room

1160 Kepler Dr, Green Bay, WI 54311

Event Description

Dr. Robert Sonnenburg, an otolaryngologist with BayCare Clinic Ear, Nose & Throat is the first provider in the region to offer Inspire therapy, a new alternative treatment option for obstructive sleep apnea.

Dr. Sonnenburg is board-certified in sleep medicine and otolaryngology by The American Board of Otolaryngology.

He will present information about Inspire, how it works, and the opportunities the new treatment provides for obstructive sleep apnea patients who are intolerant to CPAP.

Obstructive sleep apnea affects nearly 22 million Americans. Left untreated, it can have devastating effects on heart and brain health and have a lasting impact on quality of life.

Studies have shown patients using Inspire therapy have significant and sustained reductions in sleep apnea episodes, increased activity levels, reduced daytime sleepiness and a significant decrease in snoring.

In most instances, if a patient meets the criteria for Inspire, insurance will provide coverage for the device.

Light refreshments will be served.

Please RSVP before Friday, February 21, 2020.
