Dr. Ryan Woods is a non-operative sports medicine physician specializing in regenerative medicine treatments, also known as orthobiologics, which help ease pain and improve function for people with acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, primarily arthritis in the joints. Those treatments include platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC). He also specializes in ultrasound-guided care, including MSK (musculoskeletal) ultrasound. Dr. Woods joined BayCare Clinic in 2018. He was fellowship trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation sports medicine at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Woods is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in physical medicine and rehabilitation and in sports medicine.
"We see everything, top down. Particularly we focus on peripheral joints. Shoulders, knees, elbows, hands, wrists, hips, ankles and feet. Anything that's really is preventing you from getting to where you want to be functionally is what we're here to address. … We want to get you back to where you're at. … It gives patients a nice mix and a lot of options they may not have otherwise in order to treat their chronic or acute musculoskeletal diseases.”
