As a diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Rory Nelson doesn’t see as many patients as a typical physician would. That hasn’t dimmed his passion for providing care.

“I really enjoy my interactions with patients,” he says. “This is done primarily in mammography when evaluating diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds. My approach is to be empathetic but informative.”

Dr. Nelson earned his medical degree and completed fellowship training in digital imaging at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He served a residency in diagnostic radiology at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.

He’s a Wisconsin guy through and through, having grown up in Mosinee in central Wisconsin.

“I love the outdoors, from hunting and fishing to hiking and backpacking,” he says. “I still love to play basketball as well. I love just about any activity with my kids, too.”
