Dr. Andrew Kirkpatrick comes from a medical family, but it wasn’t until he met an orthopedic surgeon as a biology major at UW-Stevens Point that his path as a doctor became clearly defined.
“I was able to see what orthopedics was, and how I could help someone with a specific problem,” he says.
Dr. Kirkpatrick is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and completed fellowship training in hand surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester.
He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Dr. Kirkpatrick specializes in hand and upper extremity procedures and regularly treats carpal tunnel syndrome, tendon and ligament injuries, arthritis, wrist pain, trigger finger, nerve disorders, fractures, dislocations, tingling and numbness, congenital abnormalities, elbow conditions and emergency or long-term hand related conditions and injuries.
“My favorite part about my job is seeing someone satisfied with their functionality and pain relief several weeks or months after we have performed a surgery, injection or therapy,” he says.
Dr. Kirkpatrick sees patients of all ages in Green Bay, Marinette, and Sturgeon Bay. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, his wife and daughter and their dog, Walker.
He also plays golf and enjoys hunting, hiking, and fishing.
