Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is breast cancer awareness month.
Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women. Other than some skin cancers, it’s also the most common cancer among women.
Breast cancer also is the second-leading cause of cancer death among women. That is not OK, especially because breast cancer can be treated if detected early.
We’re dedicated to educating our patients about the warning signs and symptoms of breast cancer. We’re also dedicated to providing the highest quality of care.
During the month of October, we’ll use our social media channels to provide information on reducing your risk of breast cancer and recognizing the warning signs of breast cancer.

B.R.A.s of the Bay
On Thursday, October 19, we’re hosting B.R.A.s of the Bay, an annual social event that raises awareness about breast reconstruction. Federal law mandates coverage of breast reconstruction for breast cancer patients, even if the reconstruction is delayed until after cancer treatment is completed.
Help us spread the word about breast cancer and breast cancer awareness!
