What is CoolSculpting®?

Monday, November 12, 2018

By: Alysha Schertz

CoolSculpting® is a fat-freezing procedure that uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat from targeted areas of the body. These areas- love handles, abdomen, double chin, hips, thighs and back- are areas that typically resist weight loss with diet and exercise.

According to Janelle Klubertanz, a certified plastic surgery nurse at Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic, during a CoolSculpting procedure, fat cells are targeted, frozen and eventually die.

Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates the dead cells.

Janelle recently sat down with BayCare Clinic’s Femi Cole to discuss CoolSculpting- how it works, who makes a good candidate, and when you can expect to see results.
