The reverse total shoulder technique is a new procedure which actually improves upon the natural anatomy of the human body. Here, Orthopedics & Sports Medicine BayCare Clinic orthopedic surgeon Craig L. Olson, MD, explains how the surgery is similar to a mechanical problem.

Olson, MD, received his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed two orthopaedic surgery residencies, the first at Shriners Hospital for Children, and the second at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center.
