Love food? Avoid temptation

Dr. William Witmer, an Aurora BayCare interventional cardiologist, loves food. We all do. Here’s his strategy for staying away from those guilty pleasures.
“Keep the Oreos out of the house” is a catch phrase I use to help me maintain a healthy diet.
Here’s how it works: Identify your biggest weaknesses when it comes to eating well. That is, something that you know is not healthy for you but that you have a hard time resisting.
Whether it be chips, pretzels, ice cream – or in my case, OREOS! -- half the battle is not letting yourself have easy access to it.
Don't let that food gain access to your abode.
When you’re feeling weak, repeat the mantra: "Keep the Oreos out of the house!"
