Is it really necessary to wash your hands when handling your contact lenses? The answer is yes! As much as we would like to think they are; contacts are not risk-free. Not washing your hands prior to handing or storing your contact lenses could cause an eye infection.

 

Of course the soap you use is important, as well. BayCare’s Green Bay Eye Clinic’s Todd Sieloff, ABOC, COA, NCLEC, discusses using the proper soap in the video below.
