Get your body and confidence back

As we age, our bodies change.
Diet and exercise might not give you the full body transformation you desire. No matter what part or parts of your body you’d like to change, we can help.
Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic offers body contouring options. The surgeries can help you return to a more youthful, natural look that leaves you feeling confident in your body.
“These procedures are very common for men and women visiting our facility to ask about,” says Dr. Elizabeth O’Connor, a plastic surgeon with BayCare Clinic. “Our bodies all change eventually, and body contouring helps you get that body back.”
Body contouring can include one or more procedures. They can include:
- Coolsculpting®: Coolsculpting is a revolutionary fat freezing procedure that uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat that resists efforts through diet and exercise. We commonly treat love handles, abdomen and “muffin tops,” back fat, inner thighs and upper arms, and double chins.
- Liposuction: Liposuction can help you achieve a more sculpted look. Liposuction can be used in the same areas as Coolsculpting, as well as those areas that are not able to be treated by Coolsculpting, such as outer thighs. This procedure can be tailored to fit your body and your desires and is often done in the office.
- Breast surgery: Breast surgery provides both women and men with options to help them feel more comfortable. This includes enhancements, contouring, and reductions. For men, our surgical procedures offer options to have your chest restored to a more conventional appearance. For women, our wide variety of procedures are designed to enhance the appearance and vitality of your breasts while giving you the boost of confidence you deserve.
- Tummy tuck: Also known as abdominoplasty, tummy tucks address areas of excess skin and fat in the abdominal area that are resistant to diet and exercise as well as tightens the muscles that can be stretched by pregnancy or prior weight gain. Patients will notice a firmer, flatter abdomen and that their clothes fit better.
“We can tailor the procedures to your individual needs so you feel confident in your body and like the way it looks again,” O’Connor says.
For women, it’s recommended to have a tummy tuck after you are finished having children. While breast procedures can be done before or after having children, if you have recently had a child you should be done breastfeeding for at least 6 months. Liposuction and Coolsculpting can be done before or after childbearing.
