Orthopedics & Sports Medicine BayCare Clinic brought the revolutionary Anterior Hip Replacement procedure to Northeast Wisconsin in 2011. On Wednesday, October 2, 2013, they celebrated their 200th Anterior Hip surgery. The milestone procedure was performed at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

Anterior Hip Replacement benefits

The anterior approach to this procedure allows patients to quickly return to their work and social life with minimal restrictions; patients may be able to go home the next day. It has also been proven to be safer than the traditional approach.

"There is less concern the patient will dislocate their hip and less risk of nerve damage with this method," said Robert Limoni, MD, a BayCare Clinic orthopaedic surgeon. Read more on the benefits.

Join us in congratulating our orthopaedic surgeons as they continue to lead the region in orthopaedic innovations.
