Thursday, May 23, 2019
Start the countdown! The third annual BayCare Clinic Century Bayshore to Lakeshore bike tour is just days away, on Saturday, June 1!
Join us to ride your choice of 100-, 60-, 30- and 15-mile routes. Each route has great rest stops and is fully supported. Download the route map! Then enjoy a picnic-style meal after the ride! We’ll also have two yoga sessions led by Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine after the ride.
All riders will receive a goody bag with a 2019 short-sleeved tech T-shirt, a 2019 commemorative pint glass along with swag and deals from our sponsors.
Entry fees are $30 for 15 miles, $40 for 30 miles and $70 for 60 or 100 miles. With each paid adult rider, one rider 17 and under may participate for free. Registration on ride day is by credit card only.
What’s the weather forecast?
We’re 10 days out, so the forecast can change, but it looks like a great day for now. The earliest forecast: Partly sunny and dry, with a high of 68 and light north winds, according to Weather Underground.
The ride takes place rain or shine.
The ride will be canceled only if extreme weather or an unexpected public safety incident poses a threat to riders’ safety.
Where can I park when I arrive?
The Marcus Green Bay East Cinema parking lot at 1000 Kepler Drive, across the street from BayCare Clinic headquarters.
When can I check in and pick up my ride packet?
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 31, and starting at 6 a.m. on ride day, at the main entrance to BayCare Clinic headquarters, 1035 Kepler Drive.
What’s in my ride packet?
Your tech T-shirt and commemorative pint glass, of course, but most important is your wristband.
What about my wristband?
Wear it all day. It has the phone number for sag wagon and safety support. It grants you access to rest stops. At the end of the ride, check in. That’s where you’ll get meal and beverage chips.
When and where do I start my ride?
All rides start and finish at BayCare Clinic headquarters, 1035 Kepler Drive.
The official start times: 7 a.m. for 100-mile riders, 8 a.m. for 60-mile riders, 9 a.m. for 15- and 30-mile riders. We’ll send off each group with the national anthem. However, riders are welcome to start at any time.
Do I need to wear a bike helmet?
Yes. BayCare Clinic Bikes will have free bike helmets for those needing one.
The BayCare Clinic Century Bayshore to Lakeshore bike tour benefits the BayCare Clinic Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which supports causes and organizations that promote improved health and livelihood in northeastern Wisconsin.
