Usually overnight in the hospital, some occasions are two nights in the hospital.
You will need to have a urinary catheter in place for 7-10 days. No driving while the catheter is in place. No lifting more than 10 lbs for 4 weeks. Off work for 4 weeks, if very physical job, if a desk job then off for 2-3 weeks.
Removal of prostate, kidney surgery for cancer, some kidney reconstruction for congenital blockage.
