Neuropsychology
Our neuropsychology team deals with illnesses and injury that
disrupt normal brain function. We provide care to adults and
pediatric patients and can assist with the assessment of dementia;
ADHD and learning disabilities; concussions; and other changes in
concentration, reasoning, memory and personality.
Think Well
Our neuropsychologists specialize in issues related to learning,
behavioral and social problems. Our patients often present with
difficulties in school, memory loss, inattention, or social
weakness. These challenges may be the result of a genetic
disorder, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disability,
concussion, head injury, stroke, psychiatric or aging issues.

Neuropsychologists
A neuropsychologist has training in clinical psychology, with
additional training to understand the relationship between the
brain and behaviors or functions of the brain. These
functions include attention, memory, language, and problem solving
skills. If you've had a brain-related illness or injury, or
are simply not thinking as clearly as you used to, a
neuropsychologist can provide evaluation and treatment.
The first step of a neuropsychological evaluation is an
interview with the patient to discuss history and symptoms.
Further testing may include intelligence tests, problem solving,
memory, language, visual-spatial abilities, mental processing
speed, attention, motor, and sensory evaluations. Measures of mood
and personality may also be included.
