Steven Weinshel MD, FACS

  • Bio:

    A board certified Neurosurgeon with BayCare Clinic since it opened,  Dr. Steven Weinshel came to Green Bay upon discharge from the Air Force in 1992.  He enjoys practicing general neurosurgery and has a special interest in disc replacement surgery. 

    A native of Wisconsin, Dr. Weinshel received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI.  He completed his Internship at Medical College of Wisconsin and his residency at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals - Neurosurgery.   Dr. Weinshel completed a  fellowship in Peripheral Nerve Surgery at Louisiana State University.  He maintains an active membership of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, as well as the Brown County Medical Society, Wisconsin Medical Society, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. 

    Outside of neurosurgery, Dr. Weinshel  has an keen interest in the political aspects of health care reform, and is pursuing a degree in law.  When not in school, he enjoys time with his family and is a collector of classic cars.
